The Park Green store is now an event partner of the Rossendale Trust, with cheaper printing and a free photographer for its fashion show on 12 November.
Mail Boxes Etc. on Park Green has signed up as an event partner of the Rossendale Trust, the Macclesfield charity that runs supported living for adults with learning disabilities. The store will print for the charity at preferential rates and help with its fundraising events, starting with the Trust’s Fashion Show & Christmas Market at Shrigley Hall on Thursday 12 November.
The idea came from the shop’s side. Lorena Poltorac, who bought Mail Boxes Etc. Macclesfield with her partner Jordan Scott in 2025, approached the charity to ask what the business could usefully do.
“I contacted the Rossendale Trust because we wanted to see whether there was something practical we could do to help a charity in our own community,” she said.
“They were very open to discussing how we could work together. We’ve been looking at their printing requirements and where we can offer better rates, and I’ll also be photographing the fashion show free of charge.”
A photographer on the night
That second offer draws on her previous job. “I used to work as a photographer, so this is a chance to put that experience to use alongside what we do through the store,” she said. “We want this to be an ongoing relationship, where we can help with the things they need as their events come around.”
What the Trust does
The Rossendale Trust, based at Rossendale Hall on Hollin Lane in Sutton, provides supported living care for adults with learning disabilities, and some with physical disabilities, across Macclesfield and Buxton. Its Oakwood service runs informal learning and leisure activities, and its WorkTaste scheme finds supported work with local businesses. It is a registered charity, number 1146771.
“The Trust does so much to help people build confidence and independence,” Ms Poltorac said. “We’re pleased to play a part and hope more people will come along to the November event to support its work.”
The fashion show on 12 November
The Fashion Show & Christmas Market is the Trust’s annual fundraising evening. Tenants and staff take to the catwalk, and according to the Trust’s event page they will be modelling collections from SOS Boutique in Bramhall and Marks & Spencer. Before the show, Christmas market stalls sell gifts and festive treats, with the money raised going to the charity.
