Londis Knutsford Road, Chelford 1 9 Jun 2025
AtoZ convince store (as listed) 39 Sunderland Street, Macclesfield 1 9 Dec 2024

The register flags that the AtoZ store on Sunderland Street has a new rating pending, which usually means it has been inspected again and the result is not yet published, or is within its appeal period.

Several of these ratings are more than a year old. A rating stays in place until the next inspection, and the business can change a great deal in that time.

What it means for you

  • Check before you book or order. Every premises has its own page on the FSA register, searchable by name or postcode. In England, businesses do not have to display their sticker, so the register is the reliable place to look.
  • Delivery apps show it too, but the date of the inspection is only on the register.
  • Spotted a problem? Report it to Cheshire East’s food safety team through the FSA’s reporting service.
  • If you run a food business: you can appeal a rating within 21 days, ask for a re-inspection once you have made improvements, and publish a right to reply on your register entry (Food Standards Agency).

How we did this

We downloaded every Cheshire East premises from the Food Standards Agency’s open data on 3 November 2026 and kept those with SK9, SK10, SK11, SK12 or WA16 postcodes. Because the register is filtered by council, the Stockport side of SK12 and the Cheshire West side of WA16 are not included. The 26 October ratings are those with an October 2026 rating date. Crewe, Congleton and Nantwich are in the same council area but outside our patch, so they are left out.
